Hello everybody. Thank you for allowing me to invade your eyebrains with the last newsletter of 2024.
The year overall was kind of a return to form for me. After a few slow years of hiding in the lolbasement, I managed to poke my head out of my burrow and start getting back in the world of conventions as well as more projects in general. I still have a lot to catch up with, but work/life balance is way better now.
We got a new cat (who may actually be a dog), busted my jaw in Atlanta, and got to watch a tv show get made. Let’s go over some of it.
DC
Shazam, Batman, Teen Titans, Constantine, and and every super- pet ever… I drew a lot of DC stuff this year and loved every second of it. More comics coming in 2025. Maybe even more of the four-legged variety.

ARCHIE
I got to draw the first issue of Archie’s new take on superheroes this year with Mr.Justice #1. It was a great experience. People seem to like it too!

DARK HORSE
A lot of my year was spent working on the Borderlands: MOXXI’S MYSTERIOUS MEMENTO miniseries. I think the movie that came out earlier this year got a bad rap, but trust me when I say the comic is AWESOME!
BATTLEPUG
Battlepug: Cosmic Doggyssey is finished. Logistics and production are rolling and you’ll find out more about how to get a copy next month sometime. At last.
REVIVAL
Image put out collection of mine and Tim Seeley’s Image comic, Revival. In addition, I got to fly to New Brunswick, Canada to watch the first season of the TV show based on our comic being filmed. After almost a decade of false starts, I am overwhelming excited that that show looks great and can’t wait to see it next year.

MISCELLANEOUS
I’ve done a lot of illustration and design work for the incredibly talented musician and guitar educator, Chris Buono as well a rock hero of mine, Marty Willson-Piper. I did some illustration stuff for movie host, Joe Bob Briggs, and continue to make weird art for my former boss, Joel Hodgson. You’ll hear more about this stuff in future newsletters soon.
So that’s my 2024 in a nutshell. I appreciate everyone who rode along me and hope you continue to in 2025. Maybe the new year bring only the best to you and yours.
